Well it was an amazing week in Cebu. The surgical mission ran smoothly with the team operating on 72 children ranging in age from adorable babies to late teenagers. It was lovely to see some of the children from the last 2 years return & have their palates operated on. Also Alora returned to visit us as she did last year. It’s so nice she comes to catch up with the team each year.
This year we did almost as many lip repairs as we did cleft palate repairs. We also had our amazing dental team who undertook many dental procedures, both in the operating theatre & also in the dental bus.
As with each mission it is an amazing team effort & without our partners Operation Restore Hope USA, AMRO & also our dental team ‘the angels’, we couldn’t run the mission as effectively as we do. It was also great to see all the staff at the Perpetual Succour Hospital again. A massive thank you to everyone involved we love coming to Cebu to help the children & make a difference. It’s such a wonderful week working with an amazing team.
We are now back planning next years mission & planning some fundraising events. Keep an eye out for events over the coming months.
